When I go out with my macro lens it makes me look at the world in a completely new way. On the day I captured these images, it was dark, and rainy, and cold. And yet, the colors were brilliant, and rich. I started photographing the beautiful new crocus blossoms of spring. And then I saw the old echinacea plants. All dried up and dead.
Normally I wouldn’t take a second glance at them, but this day, I saw them completely differently.
I could finally see the beauty in their death.
